Changing Sample Rate

Dont know if im trippin or if i remmeber reading that you can chagne sample rates on the 4k.

Anyone know? I can only see 16 bit and 24bit. Id like to change rates from 44khz to like 30khz or even 20khz.

and you can't even read the manual!

Why did you bother answering this thread if thats all you got to say.

he wants to change his samplerate but he only finds the bitrate


you can change the samplerate globally from 44100hz - 96000hz (i think its in misc window)
you can change the bitrate when u sample. (in record window) -> so each sample you record is in the bitrate you assigned in record window

you can change the bit - & samplerate from each individual sample (sample edit)

Remember that if u use the mpc in adat-mode, you are limited to 48000hz! And when u run your mpc at a gobal samplerate from 96000hz, you are limited to 2 mono or 1 stereo FX..


So remember that the samplerate is something u set global & the bitrate refers to the sound itself & the AD´s/ DA´s. I dont know much about it tho.. Maybe ask Feline
