MPC changes the program...

I have searched but to no avail...I just chopped a sample into 8 parts and made it into a program. So I put that program (Sound 9) in my drum 4 bank...I set 2 loops in 2 different sequences, than after that, I placed some drums over them. Now I want to see how they sound together, so as I play the first sequence it's fine, but as it switches to the second, the program (Sound 9) switches to a different one of my programs, so the sequence gets messed up. I then went back to set my programs again in my drum bank and went back to the sequence, but whenver I try to play both sequences (one after another) they keep switching the program in the drum bank and getting messed up. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

right now i cant think of anything other than to.....press the program button go to list and check if any programs have the same program number

but i still think there might be some program numbers crashing into each other, not sure tho

Not sure about this one.What mpc you have?

Make sure program change is off and that you've changed banks when you added the drums.Sorry that's all i can think of.

I have the 2000XL, I really cant think of what the problem is.

make sure seq DRUM is the same number for both seq's on the main screen.
make sure the same program is associated with that drum on both seq's.
make sure you don't have program changes going on in step edit.

The MIDI program change for the new program was on 4, when all the other programs were on 1, so I switched it to 1, and now it's all good. Thanks again.

Give each program its own ID - Thats the way to go. Set the PGM (in the main window) to mirror this - This way, you'l be more in control... You'l find things wont go bizaar too...If they do, u can trace it back to the pgm number(s) assigned
