a few times a year i will chill out though like last night when i saw AMON TOBIN and HEXSTATIC perform. a gig like that calls for a spliff. massive stereo sound system, stereo visuals on large visual screens... awesome
amazing. HEXSTATIC are the best hiphop act in the world (in terms of hiphop as a progression of technique, sampling and social statements). you dont need an MC and a **** up attitude to be hiphop.
Yeah, I saw Coldcut a couple years ago. They had their whole video-sample thing going. That whole crew is pretty amazing.
yeah. see im the tech-geek type so being too blasted isnt an option. learnt that the hard way onstage (as you do) heh... knocked shit to the ground (mpc, digital video camera etc) and tripping over things etc. all part of the life of a lvie breaks act i guess.
having said all ive said, i should state im not prejudiced at the mindset of others in the studio. theres no smoking in my studios but i dont mind if someone gets blazed outside and comes in to work. only thing i cant stand is people too pepped on speed or with that goofy E face in the studio you know... theres nothing worse then trying to program a track when your collaborator is wasted on wizz and talking 121212 miles an hour
