man i ordered that new jay z album acapella and it just got here.
the whole thing acapella. what to do with it, what to do. so many options.
i don't think the black album is the best but it is so damn rare to get a whole album acapella. exciting!

haha mad funny,this kid was in my shop a few days ago,bragging that rockafella sent him the acapellas from the black album,,and thay want him to remix them.i knew it was bullshit then,and that just settles it.why do cats front all the time?

i don't know i just thought it might be fun to do a whole album. i have a bunch of 12" acapellas, but never a whole album.
my favorite right now is a record of dancehall acapellas.
that is just plain fun.

I picked up Nas' "Stillmatic" 2-disc album with all Acapellas down in London for about 18 quid ($30). Niceness......

damn man that is great. i would love to find that nas acapella. never been to london though.

They sell the double LP of Jay Z acapellas at Sandbox.pair.com, and I think hiphopsite.com has them back in... I was gonna cop one but there's already two mix CD's of cats that did them already, I knew they were gonna jump on it hard but this is ridiculous... it's been out like two weeks and already they have cd's out....

yeah i knew people would jup on it. i just figured i would do it for the fun of it. just to see what it would be like. i am not a huge fan of all the songs though.

Wack ! I heard some tracks from both of the "remix" cd's...I knew catz would be jumping on the black acapella, but damn. Remixing an album is a good idea to get your name out there as a producer (it worked for 9th Wonder, who, by the way produced a track for Jay's Balck Album), but rushing out a cd (one by Kev Brown and the other by Cardinal Offishall's producer) was not a wise move. I mean, let the original mix die down a little before hitting the streets with a remix joint. That said, my version will be in your neigborhood bodaga by Feb/Mar

I saw that www.turntablelab.com has the dirty versions of the acapellas, the promo joints were clean.

im a dj too, the reason a lot of people have mix cds out allready is because they been sent all the dj's the the acappella album. i got mine months ago
and the orginal album way before that for some reason they are really working extra hard to promote this album than usally
