Hey gang..
Quick noob question (that I'm sure you've answered a million times)
SETUP: MPC2000, ASR10 keyboard, 8 ch mixer, turntable, PC w/Audiophile 2496 soundcard (with all of the core audio apps installed)
I just got my new PC and trying to decide the best way to rig the MIDI
setup. My initial plan is to use the ASR10 as the main controller and use the MPC for drum functions obviously. Whats the best way to go about setting it up this way so I can record my drum tracks separately into the PC while still using the ASR as the main sound module.. while both are synced together...
I've been messing around with the rig just to 'test it out'.. the keyboard responds properly when its set as the MAIN midi controller.. but when testing the MPC as the main unit I dont get any response (i adjusted all the proper settings unless I'm missing a step)
To make it simple.. whats the best way to setup these two units to correspond together so I can lay down the invidual tracks into the PC (asr10 sound module, mpc for drums).
