I'm a 17 year old in high school making beats. I have a MPC-2000XL with a keyboard and 2 sound modules. One day this cat that raps at my school told me he wanted to hear some of my beats, so he heard them and liked them and told me to come over his house next saturday and track my beats on to his pro tools system. And I said okay not having the slightest idea on how to track my beats on pro tools. Will I have to take all of my production equipment over to his house or is it a easier way to do this. Please help me?

I have a mpc-2000Xl w/8 outs, proteus 2000, proteus vintage keys, and a trtiton.

Unless you have gear for tracking everything before you go over there( I'm assuming you don't) I don't see any other way.

On a whole other note though, if you don't know ol' boy too well I'd take a heater just in case he tries to get his do low crackin'! To be quite honest with you if I knew a dude with all that equipment when I was 17 I would of been tryin' to get him to come over to "my house" too. Of course if you know him well enough or you're pretty sure it's not that kind of situation then forget everthing I'm saying. Where I'm from letting peolple know what you got at the tilt is a bad idea!!!

Either way, I hope it works out for you. Once you get those tracks into PT you're going to be able to really make those beats shine! Good luck.

track you ish at home...then put the 2 channels to a disk....don't bundle your ish and bring it to dude's house!

don't take your beats over there unless you know/trust this cat...he could record all your shit on his computer then put it out as his...

...this music shit is shady
