that should work but since you're looking at ebay, you may want to ask the seller about a refund just in case it does not work. i'm pretty sure it will but just in case

cheers sparq, i actually went the safe route and bought some kingston ram, cant be bothered with the hassle of sending things back just to save about a few quid. no point, would waste more money sending the ram back in the post. anyway, 256 kingston ram and a 512 cf cd should hopefully be here b4 the mpc (tmrw im hoping) so im all prepared. just waiting for that new os...dont really wanna hav to learn the old os then hav to learn the new one too.

Rob - go ahead and learn all you can. The new OS will still make the MPC work like it does, so it's all relevant. The only new learning curve you'll encounter is the new features. :D

btw, is your MPC running stable now?

This looks like the same ram penfold has pictured in the first post.
I'm not sure if it's CL3 though, Newegg isn't posting too much specs. I'm sure it will, but just to be safe.

will this ram work?

i've been reading through this post again, (the first time in a while) [b]people, please don't get caught up in wondering if the chip you get is CL?? or not... it really doesn't matter. this will only confuse the people who are not familiar with what CL is. the memory will work if you see on the package or description: 256mb pc133 144 pin SODimm

yes, that should work but what i'm about to say is not just directed to you. buying 2gb CF cards are (in my opinion) going to be a waste of money when the HDM10 and new OS comes because for the price of a 2gb card you can get either a 60gb or 80gb hard drive. buying CF cards after that, i would only get like a 128mb - 512mb CF card. and that will be for quick back ups of my hard drive.

just my opinion. but to answer your question again what, yes that should work.
