$200  They are trying to get you. That RAM should cost no more than $110. I would call Alto Music. I have called them several times over the past few weeks, and they quoted me prices several hundreds below what other dealers were selling things for...without haggling over prices.

read this thread. this thread is in the 1000 section but the 2.5k takes the same ram and CF cards. we've found cheap (inexpensive) ram.

So is there any way to get the 2500 to recognize more than 128 mb. And does the doubling the memory because it only recognizes half like in the 1000, does this apply to the 2500. Because mine looks like it regognizes all 128 MB. If it registers the 128 when it is installed on the 2500 and you can install a 256 mb card in a 1000 will this work in the 2500? OR is there a cap on the amount of ram it will recognize

please read that thread. i even have several posts talking about why 256mb. it explains everything. there is no way that you can get the 1000 or the 2500 to recognize more than 128mb. the akai's version (EXM128 is a 256 stick) please read that thread.

Kingston PC 133 144PIN CL3 SODIMM 256MB

I use this in my 2500. Works great... simple as hell to install. It only recognizes 128 mb, but as mentioned, that's the best you're going to get.

Only one way to find out!!

Or you could make life easier for your self and purchase one that someone has confirmed to work....however they took a chance themselves and found out that theirs worked, maybe you could do the same?

anyway, its not going to cause a great burn in your pocket if it dont work, you can just get a refund or an exhange for one that does.
