can i load a sample in the mpc and assign it to different pads without having to reload the sample and assign it to another pad?

i want to chop up a sample and use multiple parts of the sample at the same time without having to re-sample

If you have the 2k just go into params and hit a pad, scroll through to the sound you want and viola'.Same sound, different pad.

i tried that, and it didn't work.

im mainly trying to make a copy of the sample and assign it to a differnet pad. it its possible. but that method dont work, all it does is plays the sample arcoss all the pads.

It works for me all the time. Are you in the screen where you can set it to simul. decay and all that?If not, you're in the wrong spot. And by the way, check Akaipro.com and get the manual if you don't have one.

SHIFT +6 - select drum track that the sound is on already 1 2 3 or 4
press the pad that you want the sound to go onto
highlight where it says "Snd:"
then scroll through your sounds untill you find the one you want....once you find that sound... it should work.....

I dont know why it would be assigning it across all pads?....make sure that the "Prg" at the top of the screen is the right one...and make sure your 16 levels is off....
