EXPORTING HELP

I got an MPC1000 about 4 months ago. Broke my pockets, and frustratingly, I slowly learned how to use it. Then comes the grand finale where I want to extract my beat(s) from the MPC to my windows xp based computer and I only have the option of midi or sequence. Sequence won't even play and midi does not duplicate the instruments and sounds I was using, you know? What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to export in Wav? Somebody break down the whole exporting thing for me. It really blows me cuz to have such a powerful tool and can't do anything with it. Im getting laughed at. So if anybody can help it'd be much appreciated.

you cant export a song from the 1k as a wav file. you have to record a wav file from the mpc1000s main outputs. however, it is possible to do this within the 1k if you dont have anything else to record to.

There is definately a way to export it as a WAV file...I used to have a 1000 and I definately remember doing it...it's called re-sampling I think...do a search, it shouldn't be too hard to find.

From what I've read and heard can't you internally re-sample the main output into a WAVE file and export that WAVE file to PC/MAC?

This is a step by step guide how to internally resample your song as one mixed-down wav WITHIN the mpc1000.

You have to be a member of futureproducers to see it, though.

Once you have it as one wav, you can then save it to the memory card, and transfer that wav to your PC.

Or, as these gentlemen say, you can do it the old fashioned way and receord mpc1000 audio outs, to computer audio ins.

if you dont have the ram upgrade it's probably not worth trying unless you want to ditch 99% of your sounds.

Also is there a way to hook up a keyboard to your mpc and have the keyboard play its own sound on the mpc? I hooked by keyboard up to it, and their in sync. I turned the local off on the keyboard but when i press a key on the keyboard it gives me an mpc sound. Im just wondering that if im using grand piano can i get the grand piano on the mpc and then add mpc drums and such later?

On the main screen change it from Drums to MIDI and the program to device 1. If they're synched properly it should work.
