hello.

I have a question about recording with pro tools when I'm using my MPC2000XL Studio Plus to sequence my Korg Triton Studio 61. My korg triton studio has 4 individual outputs. I currently am not making use of them and am recording EVERY track using the stereo outs on the triton. I would like to start recording everything track by track using my Digi 002. I am always using more than 4 tracks though.. say for example I am using 16. I would need to record the first 4 tracks.. then come back through and record the next 4 tracks and on like that until I get all 16 done. My question is.. How can I get pro tools to trigger my MPC to "play start" so that I can record everything on time and not have to line it all up later with the mouse ? I know I need to use either SMPTE time code, or MIDI time code but I hear that SMPTE time code takes up one audio track in pro tools and I'm limited to 32 so I would rather use MIDI time code which would take up 1 midi track (i rarely use all 16 midi tracks).

Hopefully some of yall are using pro tools and have done what I'm trying to do. :)
