Can anyone help me out?

I have the MPCXL midi with me keyboard. When I switch to a different sound on the keyboard one of the programs from the MPCXL disappears like it wasn't there. I had to reload the .APS to get it back. What's the deal?

go to step on each track to see if your keyboard has some how communicated a program change to your MPC. Also make sure the"notes off" under step edit has not been set somehow. Good Luck

looks like your keys are transmitting porgram changes to your mpc. disable this if you can find out how.

are you sure it's not because the track is set to "MIDI" instead of "drum"?

Nope. The track is set to drum.

Ex.

Track 1 is MPC (drum)
Track 2 is MPC (drum)
Track 3 is keyboard (midi)
Switch sound on keyboard (Track 3). Track 1 has been reset. Like I said, I have to reload the .APS.

I was having the same problem. I believe the solution is to set PGM to OFF on all the drum channels. Setting the PGM to correct program on the MIDI channel helps too. Let me know if that works.
