Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By Sebbelito Fri Nov 18, 2005 10:12 am
I've checked the manual and did'nt find anything on this.
I've entered the program, and all I can do there is note off/mono/poly... Mono kills it self. Is there a way to kill a sample wit another sample?

Help me out here!

I have a whole ride pattern playing at the moment doing just that and an open shut hi-hat in the sequence for good measure. It's all in the manual just as the Lampdog said.

What did peeve me was that I am unable to use the note variation slider like a hi-hat pedal as the manual suggested, switching between samples in real time. You have to wait for my xtra long open hat to finish first then it takes effect.

Try switching between mono, poly and note off and experiment in those three modes. Switch between samples in real time (after a re-trigger yes), I don't think so. You must have read that wrong, what page was that?

you can switch sounds with decay levels in sound generation mode 'but' it would need to be re-triggered,

As I see it, it´s only possible to kill a sample with ONE other sample, but If you´re playing bass or something, u need every sample to kill every sample, not just that pad 2 is killing pad 1 and 1 killing 2, but that every 16 pad is killing each other. Is that possible? or else, have I reached the end of possibilities of 2000XL?
