Mpc 3000 sync to mbox problem, few questions, please help!

ok, i want to start by just giving you an idea of what i want to do. I want to sync my mpc to my mbox and have all 8 track on my pro tools. When i press play on my mpc and play my loop with the assigned pads i want those same track to show up on my pro tools and i can record the loop in multitrack in pro tools. I want to record the audio, not the midi. Is there a way to even do that.

I dont think the mbox has enough to multitrack 8 tracks at once. You could do multiple passes tho, 4 tracks at a time for example. This is not the same as syncing tho

Denzekie is right.
The MBox can't record more than two "analog" tracks at a time.
In addition, in order to do more than one pass from th MPC, you must have the two units in sync via Midi Time Code (MTC) or Midi Beat Clock.

Since the MBox doesn't have a built in Midi connect, you will need a midi interface connected to you computer.

There is another way, but that ius even slowly and more annoying.

One slow and careful way is to add a two bar or three bars to the front of each MPC sequencer track. At the start add 1/4 note count of a highhat or whatever on each and every track for that total bar count. Then your older tracks will play at the next bar.

This will allow you to visually line up each track in Pro Tools...
as long as you make sure that each track starts with the exact same count in.
