All the soul, funk, jazz, rock, reggae and hip hop of the 70s and 80s. My folks listened to everything urban, and I was right there with them.

but my pops listened to lots of soul like al green, war, james brown, earth wind and fire, stevie, rock like hendrix, cream, beatles, steavie ray vaugn, and jazz. So i got a alot of influence from his collections. Hes a music nerd too, always is copping cds, from hip hop to soundtracks, whatever catches his eye. It gave me a good backround for djing.

oldies but goodies for you kids born after 1980 and the mid 70's it was songs from the 50's , chi-lites, gene chantler, neil diamond ,paul anka, mills brothers, sonora santanera(some spain music ill stuff),archie bell& the drells, dianna ross&the supremes, glady's knight/pips,
then as i got older i developed my own taste at 7 i started to like stuff like
gap band
dazz band
kool &the gang
cameo
micheal jackson
steviue wonder
santana
jeff beck
zepplin
disco muisc
inthe 80's my taste changed to electro music like bambattaa, kraftwerk, cybotron, hiphop, music soul/funk, modern rock, rockand roll like quiet riot, def lepaord,ac/dc,el chicano, malo,jr walker& the all stars,
but my taste keeps grownin and i still love this type of music this is what i listen to cause they dont play music like this anymore on the radio, and if they do it's watered down.

My Dad is a great drummer and he taugt me a lot about music, but he has terrible taste. The only things worth mentioning are bands like Cream, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Iron Butterfly, and the Beatles. My mom has no musical talents or taste at all, but I did find some of her Cheech & Chong records at my grandparent's house. 8)
