Question Regarding The Operating System?

Peace,

Say, I got version 1.2 of the 1000 operating system. I checked out Akai's site on the most updated operating system. So I downloaded version 1.7 and saved it, so when I went home I was trying to figure out how to you get the 1000 to upgrade to the newest update?

When I did my 2000 it was just simply, but on the 1000 I even looked in the manual and found nothing, so I'm asking does anyone know how? Thanx in advance.

If you never have updated your MPC, do you need to do all of the updates from the website? Or does the most recent OS each time include all the updates from each of the previous OS's? I don't even know which OS I have, but I got my MPC in August, and never updated once...

no, i went from os 1.03 straight to os 1.07. BUT when os v2.0 comes out, it was said that you NEED 1.07 installed first.

I have no idea what OS I have right now, I bought my MPC in August. Should I just go update to 1.07, will that hook me up with all the fixes I need, including any fixes from the previous OS updates? I never updated before...
