To my understanding using the 8 outs your choices are as follows. You may either run 8 mono lines or less of course. However, as far as stereo you will use it as so, outs 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, and 7 & 8 would be how you group your stereo patches. Odds being representing the left and rights representing the right. Keep in mind that these are still going to be mono lines so to speak. A stereo sample will not allow you to pair out the channels unless you copy the same sample to a second pad and then route it to that line.
As described above the way they are paired up represents your stereo groups.
