Sad day here.......Shadow quits using his MPC

Dj Shadow stops using his MPC in favor of Pro Tools only rig. Thats just dumb if you ask me, it makes more sense to use both. Its like cutting off your left hand because your able to do more with your right one.

Pro Tools is great, so is Logic 7. I use both, but hey not one of them can replace an MPC. I have an MPC 2000xl and a S950 and with plugins and all i can't get that exact sound in either program.

I thought pro tools was just for recording songs, I didnt know you could make beats on it

nah just kidding.. tho Ive read in an interview, he hated computer midi sequencing, because of odd reasons. I think he is a little smarter now and he understands pro tools

still, i dont like readin that article on digidesign... shit man, he uses synthezisers now.. he doesnt sample that much anymore.. his next album is gonna be totaly different.. which doesnt mean im not gona buy it as soon as it hits the stores.

Yeah if it were up to me he'd just have to make Endtroducing 8 more times with a 60 and and Adat. But you can't blame the man for moving on.

i hope he still gigs with his mpcs.....

Like Madlib, Shadow knows the importance of standing out from the crowd. He certainly did a lot for MPC sales but, for a long time, has been using a lot more technology than he likes to tell people about.

good, he was no good on an mpc anyhow. profools might make his tracks start to sound professional.

I have read alot about him and saw him on the Scratch DVD. Which one of his albums is the best to get. The one with the kids diggin for records on the front cover. I am interested. Is It like RJD2? Cause I like his stuff??????
