I've done this. ATAPI/IDE card readers behave just other ATAPI/IDE devices such as HD and CD readers. There is nothing special about them being a "card reader". It does not have cooties.

The problem with this is that the SCSI-IDE bridges alone cost more than just a SCSI reader itself.

So my options are

1 Get a SCSI card reader
2 Do the IDE in a SCSI box with a bridge thing
3 Get my 2000 modified by Forat or Rogue music
4 Sell the 2000 and get an XL and put a frickin' IDE card reader in it.

I wonder what I'll do...?
