mesh is right. the latency boogyman isnt going to go away with an MBox.
you can try a firewire based card if you want.... but i wouldnt sweat it.
the thing with latency is there is REPORTED latency and EFFECTIVE latency. you just have to ignore the numbers and go with your ears. too many kids are quoting websites and have no real experience
well having worked in countless setups, i happy with my old DELTA44 cards and a very trusty old 2x2 midi interface. this is my own rig, while at work the motu 828 mkii is great.
when i have to use a digi001 that sucks, but it really doesnt matter anymore, latency shouldnt be an issue.
doing the same as mesh, you always have that first few bars blank and READ YOUR **** MANUAL on how to "midi offset"
also called "latency offset"
you tweak that right and youre set. no more whinging on worldwide messageboards only cause you havent read the manual and dont know how to do shit right
