endless loops CD burning

I am trying to make a CD of breaks/loops. I want most of the breaks and loops to automatically loop on my CD players without using my hot loops or hot cues, so this way I don't have to record 5 + mins and mix out. I want to just record loops of 4, 8, and 16 bars and when the cd hits the End of the track just have it jump to the begining without any gap, kinda like the endless grooves on the "dj tools" 12" or some break/cut vinyls. I am using protools for my multi track and I tunes to burn...anyone have an idea on how to do this using this software?

i understand, but i dont... cause its like the only way i know u can do that is wit a DJ CD Player by pressing loop, dont know how to on a regular CD player

wouldn't it be a setting on the hardware dj cd mixer rather than an option in the bruning software? you cant program a cd to tell a cd player to loop certain tracks- well from my knowledge it works the other way round- and no i havent heard of any that do that

Can't be done.

Think about it. The way locked grooves work on records is that each groove is a circle, in stead of a part of one long spiral from the edge to the center. This means the master has to be phisically cut differently. This is hard enough for a record but impossible for a CD. And even if you could do it, do you even know how fast a CD spins? About 200rpm at the center (the start) and about 500 rpm at the edge! You'd have a maximum loop time of 0.3 seconds at the center, and 0.12 at the edge.

press wax instead.. your loop should be either 133,3333 bpm on 33rpm OR 184,6154 bpm on 45rpm ... or half ofcourse..

Been good...just making tracks and working hard. Trying to figure out if its possible to burn a CD with an endless loop, so that it will work on other players that do not have hot cues and loops....guess not

what about the repeat button?

couldnt you just put the same loop over and over again as separate tracks on a CD, and then in your burning software choose "no space between tracks"?

It wouldnt be infinite, but it would loop until you ran out of room on the CD.

a 5 second loop would loop approximately 840 times (12 times a minute x 70 minute CD-r).

I dont want to use the functions on my cd tables so that it could work on any cd player. I didnt want the loops to be more than a few secs so i could have a ton of them on 1 cd for live applications and not have to change disks. Just looking for an easy way out.

can't be done on a regular cd player mate. I know DJ Swamp puts out battle records that do what you are trying to do but for turntables. Instead of the record grooves spiralling inward from a start to end, they loop back around to the beginning and keep looping on the same record groove. It's just an endless loop on a record that will keep playing for days.
