it's a good time to remember that you can't fall back on anyone elses opinion for your rig, u got to do what FEELS GOOD to u, period.

I got a Future Retro Revolution in the mail the other day (and I been braggin about it ;) )... I held off on it for so long cause everyone says the 303 sound is dated... but fu** that, cause this thing FEELs GOOD baby.

Pro Tools will be easier for him. he never really understood MPC's very well in the first place.

He'll probably still make good music.

Good for him... I moved to an all computer set-up for a few years...now I'm buying back all my hardware...fun!!!! However, you can make the same music on the MPC and Protools...for the most part.

he used the fuk out of em, but the 2 3000's set up really showed that he was going about them the wrong way. Right there you can tell it wasn;t a good fit anymore.

In my opinion...there is no wrong way to use a machine...especially if you make good music with it....which the man did.

musak, piped music, ambient music (as in the descriptive sense not the genre ambient)....generally made for background noise filler- dull, uninspiring, unmemorable music...
