YO after many many many years of searching for this album "IT'S JUST BEGUN " by jimmy castor i finally found a copy, i'was close the last few months searchin on the net on all kinds of stores and comps.i found an ALPHA OMEGA that had it on there but everytime i ordered it from NYC is was out ,the dude called me and told me he would send me another record for free in it's place because i have ordered it several time, any ways ,

i met tic toc from this forum a few months ago and he told about this place in SF that has classic stuff,a bit over priced but if you have been lookin for a while they most likly have it , i don't dig in store much anymore, sure enuff i called them up and asked them for this record JIMMY CASTOR BUNCH "IT'S JUST BEGUN". dude said he had one copy left and he would hold it for me , i went in today to pick it up , and man it was a killer copy, the original pressing,in grrrrreat condition for $35 dollars.

man, castor was a funk FUNK MASTER, the cuts on that album are jamin, boy he can play the timbales. any ways i thought i would share my expirence with you all , when you have been searchin for years for a killer record there's no price thats too much , believe me this record was wel worth the $35 bucks

Is your "It's Just Begun" album on really thin, flexible vinyl? I've got two copies that are. It was some new type of vinyl that RCA were experimenting with at the time. I think it was really good quality but didn't catch on because it just didn't feel right. I've never seen any other record that used it.

yeah , it's suppost to be better to resist srcatches, i was reading that to when i bought it, but it sounds very clean,

i know i've seen other records on the same label but not sure if there on that flexi shizz.

it 's some pretty tight technology there.

featherbo, the dynaflex joints on RCA are supposed to be higher quality?they always felt a little more flimsy than normal records, so whats the story... i notcied that some of the best stuff on rca was on this dynaflex along with this jimmy castor theres also those main ingredient and the niteliters/new birth pazant bros and a bunch of other dope ones i forgot.

Maybe it was more expensive to produce than ordinary vinyl.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

yeah but most likely you wouldn't have found a Jimmy Castor laying around there either. Sometimes good rare vinyl cost good money.

I'm a bit of a collector my self. Got a couple joints I really PAID for.

that's right, you never know.

I've found some $200-600 joints for $2.99 at my weekend job.

i wonder if JIMMY was on a contract or something to only record his music on such vinyl?

yo toons was that Troglodyte 45 on thin vinyl or is it regular vinyl ?

oh yeah is it on RCA as well?
