In repsonse to MPC 2000 SOS

Thanks so much for the response. However, I'm a little confused.
When I downloaded the OP, I was told by an Akai tech support to download
Winzip to un-zip the program so I could load it onto a disk.

Was that the right thing to do?

I'm going to get a PC Formatted Fat16 disk today...

but Lampdog...what is the IOMEGA thing you're talking about?

What is your OS on your PC? You can format a disk into FAT by right clicking on the floppy and click Format, or from My Computer right click and format there as well. As far as zip, the file should keep fat once downloaded and then when you unzip to the disk, FAT should stay intact.

Not sure about XP, Lamp has XP and he could tell you that one.

I believe winXP already has winzip to unzip downloaded files, but maybe I'm crazy... I remember reading somewhere that it had winzip though...? Anybody know for sure?

yup winzip comes loaded with XP and he should be able to format that disk from XP as well too just the way stated above
