the mpc 1000 is it a peice of shit ? or worth buying

alot of ppl are buying this things for large amounts of money and then selling them back for way less at what they brought them for post your comments

that is a matter of personal opinion. to me, it's worth every penny.

its a cool machine but if i had the extra cash for the soundcard and some monitors i would of bought the 2kxl

How can it possibly be a piece of shat? I think people expect the equipment to make music for them.

pisses me off that within a year (4 months of which it had no use) the pads are fukin up... but we all know about the pads already.

I dont realy like tha 1000 but thats just my opinion. It feels too flimsy to me. The pads feel cheap the data wheel feels cheap. Most of the menu buttons are on the pads. I just dont like it. But it is a powerhouse of a production tool. U got a harddrive, card reader, u can upgrade it with more memory than the xl. It has its good and its bad but personally i like the 2000 or xl.

...to being a sequencer, it's a sampler. Put sh!t in and you'll get sh!t out. Simple as that.

Best money I've spent on equipment.

I just went from the 2000(nonXL) to the 1000, and I like the 1000 alot better. The pads do feel harder to me, and the navagation around the machine is a lil more diffucult, but I'm starting to get used to it.

Oh, and I find myself having to turn down the master volume every now and then. Kind of a pain in the ass when you're using headphones.

it sucks because it doesn't make me coffee... LOL!!! j/k

but honestly, no regrets here either... definitely worth every penny...

from hardware producers upgrading to modern machinery, it's worth it.

I bought my 1K...made beats with it and now it's worth double NO...triple the amount. It what you do with it son.

For me sequencing on the PC just feels odd. I have reason, but I do all sequencing on the MPC.
