i'm playing around with a sequence now. nothing special.
i was doing a recording, and i pressed the tap tempo button to as you would, tap a tempo. it just started playing one of my drums (pad 8, assigned to 44 (G#1)), i change it's midi value and it stops. no midi ports are plugged in, wtf is going on?

no, never.
i thought the key might be stuck or something but it isnt.

anyway, can you try on your mpc to assign something to midi code 44, and JUST pressing the tap tempo button while recording?
this might be a good thing (:, i can hold down the tap button on a pad assigned to a hi hat, and do kick and snare with my other hand.,

cool, i'll try it later

- so your assigning a pad to the note repeat button
- press note repeat and it plays/repeats the sample on the assigned pad

I've never messed with assigning/reassigning pads.

???

you dont need to press the pad, you just hold note repeat and it repeats the pad at whatever you're quantize is set at. downside is there is no velocity control ):

are you SURE you're doing it correctly?

i find it weird that one particular midi code would trigger something like this.

wtf, now i can hold down tap tempo and press one pad that has a q-link fader assigned to it for tuner, and then press another pad at the same time and it gets tuned down too.
i should open my mpc more often. random glitches are cool!
