Hey Guys As u all know I just aquired a 2kxl studio plus for cheap as hell so I decided to gut the insides and upgrade my MCD model since it was stock when I bought it. I took pictures of the insides. Hopefully this will help someone.

THe whole process of installing the outs took about 15 minutes.

STEP #1 UNSCREW THE BOTTOM PANEL.

Image

STEP#2 REMOVE THE SCREWS WHICH SECURE THE COVERING ON OUTS

Image

STEP#3 PLUG THAT WHITE WIRE HANGING OFF THE 8 OUTS BOARD INTO THE BLACK SOCKET. (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PICTURE)

Image

STEP#4 THE 8 OUTS SHOULD BALANCE ON THE TWO VERTICAL BEAMS STICKING UP OFF THE MOTHER BOARD, POSITION THE 8 SOKETS INTO PLACE AND BALANCE ON THE TWO VETICLE BEAMS. NOW SECURE IN PLACE. iT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS WHEN DONE.

IF U LOOK RIGHT UNDERNEATH THE EXPANSION BOARD U CAN SEE WHERE U INSTALL THE MEMORY STICKS FOR MEMORY UPGRADE.

AND THATS IT!!!!! TOOK 15 MINUTES. HOPE THIS HELPED SOMEBODY OUT THEIR. DONT BE SCARED TO OPEN UP YOUR MPC AND EXPERIMENT. iF ANYONE HAS QUESTIONS PM ME.

Hey, where is the eb 16 , a true studio Plus includes an EB16 effects board, P.S. don't forget to gank the SPMTE chip out of the Studio and put it in the MCD, the MCD stock does not have it.

Yeah I also noticed that the effects chip was not in their when i opened its all good though. That smpt chip looks pretty snug in the 2kxl studio, Imma pry it off with a screw driver. I dont think Ill ever use the smpt option anyway but Imma install that also

The white leather couches help to keep static from ruining the mpc's circuit board

I'm gonna attempt this myself soon. But it's the wrong card. It's the one for the S series I think. Got the right cable though, so I just need to chop off a piece of the plate. I'll figure it out.
