Currently I am using the 3 1/2 inch floppy on my mpc, I feel it is a little slow for my likings. I was wondering, if I get an external scsi hard drive, will I be able to create some sort of programm to dump all my desired files off of the external h/d into the desired pads on the mpc? You know, just power up the mpc and have my samples automaticly sent to the pads.

SCSI in gerenal is much faster than the Floppy drive, so even if you use zip disks instead of a hard drive, your sounds will load faster.
