I'll probably keep the 3000. Sometimes I work on house and dnb so I like having the extra sampletime for loops. I have 3 S950s so I could setup a MPC3000/S950 combo and MPC60/S950 combo and have a S950 spare or hook it up to my Atari St for the hell of it.

the 3000 is the 16 bit, stereo-sampling, LP-filtering, 32 MB RAM-having 60 on steroids.

the 60 and 950 might have to go for the 3k...i really like the all-in-one-box factor..

Nah keep the 60/950 combo. The filters on the 3000 are not all that and it just does not sound as good in my opinion.

The next step forward is to learn how to use the shyt you just got. people who constantly upgrade their gear are constant beginners and would rather push the limits of their wallets than themselves.

i used a 2k for years w/o really adding anyhting to the mix..i understand what youre saying there....im not to commited to the s950 yet, i really like the all in one aspect of the 3k..if the filter is no good then ill stay w/ what i got, allthough the extra sample time is dfef. welcome, not for beatmaking but so the live set doesnt have pauses for loading every five min..
elm, i def know what you mean, anfd believe me i dont think im that guy... im just trying to streamline my workflow not create hurdles. the 3k im guessing i could get around on right away whereas the s950 isnt difficult but unfamilar...im making beats w/ it but id just rtather do w/o midi, for now anyway..
who knows in another month ill be all about the s950 i guess....i guess i d like to do a heads up comparasion of the two setups: mpc60 w/ s950 vs. 3000.

you get more options with the S950/60 combo...unless your going to run a S950 and 3k. (I used to do that) As you already know the 950 got a filter and other features that he 60 and 3k don't have. You know, X-Fades, VCA, VCF, blah blah blah. Better off just keeping what you got, unless you really are having to wait 4-6 minutes for each track to load when gigging live with the 60
