Recording pitch bend and mod wheel to MPC2000XL

i was trying to sequence a lead keyboard part onto my MPC, and i had a tough time recording the pitch bends.. i even tried just recording the note data, in an attempt to just play the pitch bends manually (while the MPC plays the notes), but when i tried that, the pitch bend made the synth sound "jittery". heres a diagram of my MIDI setup:

radium 61 MIDI kybd MIDI out>>MPC MIDI in A>>MPC MIDI out A>>KORG MS2000R MIDI in..

i have tried setting the MPC's MIDI filter, but i still have problems..

what exactly is the problem your having? is it not bending when you use the pitch bend wheel? the pitch bend is data that your keyboard sends along with the other MIDI data. it should record just like anything else. Im not sure why you would have problems.

what happened when you pressed record (on the mpc) and played what you wanted and used the pitch wheel?

when recording into the MPC: the pitch bend works.. when played back, the sequenced part has a -jitter- to it.. and i did consult the manual.. and i tried allowing pitch bend data to be recorded.. but its still giving me problems..


(i have an M-Audio radium 61) maybe it's my controller.. i cant connect my music computer to the internet anymore, because; long story short, i have DSL, and an XP computer downstairs.. and my music computer is in my room, and it still runs windows 98.. and internet is just no longer possible.. the reason i'm mentioning this is because maybe my problem is with my controllers driver.....

my controller also seems to be spitting out MIDI CC change data at random, also.. have you ever heard of that happening before???

i should call M audio about that one...

same thing happens to me on my triton when i pitch bend

well i've had a few midi problems before. like sometimes when I record using the pitch bend wheel, it records fine. It might play ok a few times but after that the pitch of the keys change.

But all I have to do is press a key and wiggle the pitch wheel at the same time. It pretty much sets it back to normal. I have to do that sometimes. I dont know if that will help you, but if your problem is similar to mine, maybe that will help.

Hey just a thought could it be you need to make the sequence with the time signature OFF so the pitch bend/ mod wheel are not "f" ed off, your not supposed to be able to time correct pitchbends or modwheels. could be completely wrong, but hey its a guess.
