Hi

I am using my mpc for a show...and wanted to know the best way for auditioning sounds

In order to preview sounds the volume dial needs to be turned up - but if volume is turned up the sound will be played too..as my audio outputs are also connected.

Any ideas on how to audition sounds without outputting the audio?

I was thinking of just removing the audio outputs....but have the feeling there must be an easier way

thanks for your help!!

cheers for your replies

I'm listening to the sounds in trim mode using headphones...but if the audio outputs are connected it gets outputted too...and if i turn down the volume then i cant hear anything which is just as bad

I will look at assigning different outputs....

if you plug your mpc in a small mixer, you could turn down the volume at the mixer and still here the sounds through the mpc headphones out.

If you have audio coming out of the MPC and you want to cue different sounds on the MPC your SOL unless you do the assign thing but thats a pain in the ass. You just have to know what will fit, and remember where all your sample are at. Good Luck.
