problem with pad assignments

Ok, I load a program, record a sequence. but when I press play to listen to the sequence again, it plays sounds than the ones I played. Is there something i'm missing? I looked through manual and online and cant find anything. Just want to make sure this isn't a defective mpc, or if i'm just doing something wrong. Doesn't happen all the time only with certain programs.

somtin to do with your programs. sounds like you might have changed the programs around, not sure how to explain it but its in the manual.

your midi notes overlap.

go to program, note assignment, and make sure there are no stars.

thanks Antonym that was exactly it. For future reference I created my programs in MPC blue box, was there a step I missed? I just did bulk sample load then saved as a program. thanks again.

yeah - bluebox has a "make pads chromatic" option that will eliminate your issues in the future. just hit that after assigning all the samples to the pads.
