OK so i bought my first 1k today and it came with the 32 mb memory card, i decided to get another memory card and its a 64 mb...the one shown here........http://www.jamediaonline.com/jamedia_sm.html. Its soooo thin, while the one that came with the 1k is so much thicker. It just doesnt seem right, or am i supposed to install it somewhere else?

Unfortunately I think the MPC1000's card drive is CF only (Compact Flash). The card you bought is a Smart Media (SM) card. Can you return the SM card? If so, do it and buy a larger CF card. The 1K can support up to 2GB CF cards.

Just to make things clear; buying a bigger cf card will NOT help you to make bigger samples. The CF card is storage only. You have to put more RAM memory inside your MPC if you want to make longer samples.

why don't you just take your 32mb card to the store WITH YOU and tell the clerk you want the same type card but a bigger mb size..

I kno, i did that. I got me a 512 memory card but i still have "insufficent memory" so now im guessing i need to get the RAM memory for my MPC. Ill let yall know if im still havin trouble.
