quick 8 outz question

sup yall,

quick question. can i hook my MPC with 8 outs straight into my comp with protools or do i have to go through an external mixer and then into protools? if i can go straight from the mpc to the comp what does my comp need soundcard wise?

If your compressor has 2 channels, than you can run two sounds through it at a time from the mpc into protool. Question, do you have some type of preamp to boost the sound going into protools, or is that what you are using the compressor for?

I think he meant computer not compressor. The only way you can use the 8 outs is if you have 8 ins such as a Digi001 or Digi002, INCA 88 sound card, or Delta 1010 or something like that. I'm assuming you have an interface since you are running Pro Tools unless you downloaded the free version.
PS, MBOX only has 2 ins and 2 outs, just in case this is the Pro Tools interface you are using.

no i dont have protools yet, i just wanted to be able to run straight to my comp than having to buy a external mixer. thanks guys
