wondering how not to play full samples in the 3000

Im sure this has been gone over, but i couldn't find it when i was searching. I was wondering how to take some of my samples off of being played all the way through. for drums its ok, but I have some piano samples that i want to be able to play without them playing the whole 7 seconds. i remember on the 1000 how to do it but not sure on the 3000. thanks

Goto program-2, then set the pads to note off. Sound will come out as long as you hold the pad down. Also keep it mind that one quarter note is 96 ticks long.

these things are often no problem at all if you only RTFM !!!!
