besides, akai is not publicly marketing the black 1000 outside of their (japan) website.

Even if they do have the black kit though, your screen will still have the blue frame. That'll look kind of ugly if you ask me. After thinking about that, I think I'm just gonna paint my sides to something better than ketchup red.
