Out of curiosity!! why a difference between 2500 & 1000 pads

Impossible to hit a pad without triggering the assigned sample twice.

This often happens to non-2000 users. the 2k generally has a slight mvoe in the double trigger direction. assigning the sound to mono normally solves this. Longer notes like bass or piano normally dont do that.

I have owned a 2000xl for 4 years and I sold it for a 1000. I believe that the 1000's pads feel as good as the XL. I did notice when I bought my XL new that the pads took a while to break in.

i don't think that people mean anything negative by entry-level. i think it is brillant to be able to have an mpc a bit more afordable (and it feels like an mpc imho).

so it is just a matter of price, and a bit cheaper build (pads don't last as long as the 2k). end of the story.

but feature wise, i see your point, it is not entry-level. thats why it is such a great machine

Explain to me why you would choose otherwise, and not cause the 2k feels so great. I really wanna know what it does better for you.

If everything was equal, which theyre not, since the new os isnt even out yet, better feel on any machine would win me over. If you never felt certain features on old machines were important, then you'll never miss them anyway.

I bought my 3k used from some studio so who knows how many hands it's been through. Im guessing it's roughly 12 yrs old. No problems with the pads whatsoever. 1ks been out for only a couple of years and how many people are having trouble with the pads already?
