midi or audio?

sup yall
just wondering if yall use the mpc purely as audio or also as a sequencer. i find that some of my sequenced stuff is a little off. well its not OFF but it just sounds like the timing is not as tight as the drums are. i have messed witht he timing and swing functions but it seems like the drums always are tighter than REASON and my triton le.
so sometimes, if it is a one shot or a one hit sample, i will put that into the mpc. and sometimes i will just record loops of all my sequenced tracks and then recycle them or leave them normal, then go to the mpc. problem is, alot of the synth sounds are kinda hifi and sound too lo fi in the mpc. so sometimes, when i get into pro tools, i just have to line them up audio qise and then copy.....pain in the ass though.
just wondering if yall work this way.

ive read your other threads and it seems that you are confused full stop.

obviously a midi sequence will feel "looser" then the internal sampler engine because its MIDI! midi is a SLOW protocol and will always feel a bit looser then the mpc internal triggers.


just one of the endless quirks of the modern studio rig. you will develop your own work-arounds and style flow.

I use the mpc for audio and also as my only sequencer. I do everything inside of the mpc and haven't had any problems...yet.

the internal seq runs on a quartz clock and not midi- this is what make the mpc (as a standalone) tight as a nuns.
