Hi,

I'd like to know the difference between an MPC running on a PC or MAC and an MPD doing the same. I'd be running a drum program like Fruity Loops or Reason along with a Protools M-Box.

Is the MPC just faster, easier and better?

It looks like I could make beats on an MPD with some software backing it up. But I could be wrong.

An MPD is just mpc pads and nothing else. Its used to controll drums in computer programs

So the MPC is used a s a sampler and a composer while the MPD is just a controller.
Cool.

MPC can do sound triggering just like the MPD. Cause they both have pads.

yep just got the trigger finger and it still suck making beat on a computer unless you use step program, using live 5.0 and reason 3.0 to program beat on my apple ibook 1.2ghz suck, mybe i need a g5 ,but before i do that, mpc 2500 will be the last thing on the list to get. mpc is the king for making beats 8)

got mpc 1000,2000xl,sp 303
