Is there a way in Trim-mode or something to put a little bit of silence before the samples starts? I can't figure it out.

Why dont u just start your sample later...ha I know what you want.
Make a second sample with just dead air for the specified time you want and then insert it before the real sample...This forms just one sample with your silenced section at the start....should do it.

Yes there is...just send a self addressed and stamped envelope along with a money order for $20 and you will receive your answer in 4 - 6 weeks. Not valid in California, Alaska or Hawaii

I'm on the Renaissance and the 1000. I'd really like to know that as well: how to insert silence BEFORE the sample starts (so the sample starts later...). Thanks!

jjos has an insert silence option
reverse the entire sample, then select everything but the first part of the same, and then reverse the new selection again.

ie from this:

IIIiiiooo...

to this

...oooiiiIII (underline is selection)

to this

..IIIiiiooo.
