Re-issues

word aslong as you get a n original whats the difference, you got it right.

shet i've found records that i've been lookin for for 25+ yrs on the net and i cant find them anywhere at dig spots , i only use the net for cetain records i dont always buy on line,
i try to find the OG first and if i cant find it then i get a repress but shet i dont care i'll buy to copies the OG and a repress.

No one digs for reissues. They're readily available. Why would you have a problem with someone buying a reissue? Not everyone into older music is a digger/collector. Some folks just want to hear the music.

I've never paid $300 for a piece, so maybe that's why I don't understand. When ever I get the urge to hear the music, I throw it on.

I cop the cheapest joint i can find.For real,if i see something i like i buy it.I'm not in the financial position to spend alot on albums so i'm happy with whatever i can get.I know it's "supposed" to be about keepin' it real.But providing for my family is real.Not to knock you cats who can afford it like that,i'm happy for you,it's just different strokes for different folks.

i feel you stryke's , thats tru what u sayin, but i told my wife when i first met her this was my only addiction was music and that included buying records i had stopped for a few years , but she know s thats what makes me happy and the only thing that keeps me sane.
i do what i got to do for my family too. it's hard to have extra cash , but i dont buy cloths i dont spend money on SH!t that i need other than deoderant, just like marriage i sacrifice things that i need for records that i want,

I'm with you e.d.e as long as you takin' care of your family and your wife knows this is what you love then cool.I didn't try to dis anyone for being able to cop expensive vinyl or all originals i was just speakin' for self.No offense to anyone that does.But we got the same mindset with that last sentence there.I haven't bought cloths in so long i bet people think "How is this bum buying all these albums?" I'm grimy with mine but oh well at least we still cop deodorant right?

look at stamp collectors or coins, or anything... i think its just the appeal of having something hard to get, or rare...

its an easy addiction to fall into especially if you love music

I guess my confusion is that loving music and buying it to sit on the shelf seem to contradict each other.

But if the appeal is simply to have a rare piece, than that explains it.

coins n shit are visual music is audio u gotta hear it to understand it

i buy rap-reissues...so many records which ain´t in press officially nowadays and a student like me can´t afford an original record...it´s cool when u get an official reissue, cause there are many bootlegs out there with worse sound and cover etc.
