ok from what i read the pro tools product is not very strong with midi seq. it was more made for audio first and midi last when making it. um i had the le and the le has 4 outs....the mpc has 8 outs....your digidesign has 8 inputs....well this may sound stupid but i dont have the that product but i do plan to get one and i always wonder how would i use the ins and outs of all my products...let all 4 outputs on the le go into the "001" if your using a keyboard your gona always want to mix the sounds or add effects on the keyboard sounds. thats just how i feel. well the other  4 inputs give to the mpc. but if it comes to point you just got a lot going on in the mpc and need more inputs giveway with le but trust me its your mix and youll know plus you only need to put indie sounds on there own channel if you want to do something later to it. well im no pro on sound an mixes but i hope that helps a lil cause guys on this page shy away from sound card questions.. oyea if you got the mpc why do you really need to midi it up to the "001"

I GUESS I SHOULD JUST GET THE MPC AND TRITION AND START FROM THERE.... THINK ABOUT RECORDING LATER DOWN THE ROAD....... MAY SOUNDS STUPID, BUT I DON'T EVEN HAVE AN WQUIPMENT YET... BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE I HAVE ALL THE GROUDS COVERED FIRST.... I HAVE 3500 DOLLARS AND WANT TO START BUYING EQUIPMENT SOON.... PEACE....

you remind me of my self....i straight up and got a motif and a mpc matter a fact i had the triton le first.... and i have a laptop computer and want to get protools for it. i know how to make beats for old equipment but did not know how to use everything i wanted to get and then how much upgrades you have to do...i think overall if you gett all that there is gona be something you call a honeymoon stage and thats when you just gona want to play with it all day and say forget the books to read.....but soon you gona want to do some real cool things and trust me its gona be hard to find someone with the set up like yours when you need to ask a question and so on but.....i was once told just get the mpc and master it cause doing too much will have you go crazy.....well i did go crazy i lost it.. so much learn and the only way to do it was to just stop.....this web site helps alot on the mpc tip....i think triton has a web kind of like this one.....i dont know about protools......the truth is you got a big hill to climb once you get all that....me ill rather get it all and not know how to use it than just learn one and get another and learn that one and so on. im just that type of person i just got to have things now. i know someone is gona quote that too.....but yo holla at me doggie if you got some questions..the name is Fame Keyz

Trev,

If I were you I would cop an 2000xl & an ill keyboard(TritonLe/Karma/Emu Sound Module). I dont know if you already have a Digi 001/002 but if you are also considering getting one; then you definitely dont need the 4000. Between the 2000xl & Pro Tools the skies the limit. I hate to see someone spend lot without need. Just trying to be easy on your pockets dawg! Thats my 2 cents.

come on dog whats up with just them  brand keyboards....whats up with yammie too...sike naw but son is right you could do alot more with that 35 hundred and get a mpc 2000xl and a good keyboard....the 4000 is good but i think everybody right now is just running to it cause its the newest mpc.  me i would be better off with xl and keyboard than just a 4000....you should be able to flip the money you put into a 2000 xl and keyboard to get 4000 later on doggie...

VERY TRUE.......... PLUS I THINK THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAPPY WITH THE MPC MODLE THEY HAVE NOW.....NO MATTER WHICH ONE I HAVE....IT WON'T MAKE THE MUSIC BETTER.....I JUST WONDER ABOUT THE 24 BIT SOUND.....BUT AGAIN BEFORE THE 4000 CAME OUT ....MUSIC WAS STILL BEING PRODUCED TO THE MAX.... THANKS       TREV
