help, i have no time for my 2500

no i'm not selling it...
my wife and i just had a baby girl. she's a month old and right now i'm holding down a 9-5 and playing keys for my church which equals to no time for making music. how do you guys find the time to make music. i'd like to hear from the dads out there.

I have 2 kids, less then a year apart. They are 1.8 months and 8 Months old.

Time is against me all the time, the only real time I have in the studio is after hours. My daughters goes to bed about 7 and my son likes to stay up late untill 10.

After 10 I try to spend at least a 2 hours in the stuido but I have to be up for work at 5:30 and I dont get home untill like 7:00 at night.

If not for the hour plus commute on the train to NYC I woun't get any sleep.

i have a 3 year old son too.
i leave the house at 6:30am and some nights i don't get home until 10:30pm. i'm off on saturdays but that's like the family day.
as soon as i get a hard drive for my 2500 i'm going to start taking it with me to work so i can work on beats during my lunch.

Wow!!! I have 4 kids at home. My oldest wants to learn to drive so that will take up alot of time too. It's hard to stay focused. I work from 8 to 6 or 7 everyday, I try to stay involved in the kids school and I play guitar in a metal band (plus karaoke every Sat. night). WHEW!!!! On top of all that, I am working on a solo album and working on a project with my bro. I have tons on my plate... guess thats why I haven't had time to get to know my MPC Something has to change! Hang in there though bro!!!

damn...i respect yall a lot...im just 17 but i see yall got the passion for making beats and thats inspiring...

I don't have any kids but I work six day workweeks, plus a 40-45 minute commute going and then another 40-45 commute going home, I'm exhausted after my day but I stay up late to work on beats, I don't get home till like midnight, and I stay up till 5am and then go to sleep to get up at like noon or 12:30 to get up and get ready for work cause I gotta be there by 2pm every day. Sundays is my main day off and I sleep half that day because I'm exhausted from the long week and going out saturday and friday nite... it's hectic in NYC.

That my friends is called "the grind"...keep on keeping on

i'm thinking of doing this thing for real and quiting the 9 to 5.

I have days dedicated to the lab... Saturdays always and no matter what... like your pops on football Sundays... leave that man alone. Sundays is iffy iffy cuz, i've been known to pull those days off as well. During the week is work, graphics, manuals and family but, i love it all the same. I look at creativity as something that continues over time, instead of just for this moment. If you plan to live long... building your skills can be a beautiful process. This music isn't going anywhere that i'm not...
