new to the game....

yo i just got my jont - i kno nothing about how it works and im in the process of reading the manual.

i just was wondering if any of u xperts would care to give a newbie a breif overview of how to make a beat so i kno what to expect.

i wanna make beats with all loops, a drum loop first - then a bass on top - and then horns, yadda, etc...

can somebody just give me an overview of how the mpc is used to do this?

im just curious about the methodology involved. im sure there are many ways to do it but i just wanted a basic overview......

record the drums on track 1 and turn the loop on
when your happy with that stay on the same sequence and but move it to track 2 and record your bass on that or whatever you want.

just keep doing that until you have got everything you want on then you can go into the track mute screen and you can play all the tracks how you want to

yo one more question - how tricky is it to match time? like i got stuff all different tempos.....and i wanna match em up differently - is there a method to that as well?

Check the link below and look for DEEPSOUND. Lots of other stuff to exlpore there as well.

I guess they already answered your question.
As far as matching the time , set the loop , and then , in that screen , hit param and it will show you the tempo of the sample looped. From there , just match everything up. It's all been explained here before in better detail so if you need to , just do a search here and you'll find more answers. If I can be of any assistance , just P.M. me. Where are you anyway? East? but yo man i think i get what to do now just from what yall said - so when i sample somethin' if i look it tells me the tempo and then i can just match everything........that is pretty straight
