Would a 'Thrift Store'...

pay anything for a broke record? i'm kickin' myself in the ass for puttin' a crack in this record while i was trying to clean it... the 45 is still in one piece, just has a crack about 2-3 cm in length (starting from the outside, in)... i don't want to put it under the needle anymore, but i don't want to just throw it away either... or can this be fixed??

Would it really be worth it taking it to a thrift store? Probably just give it to 'em.

i never seen a thrift shop that buys stuff. the ones i've been to recieve donations.

They wont buy it. A cracked record wont hurt your needle any. I cracked plenty records in my day and they work just fine. As long as its level then it will play ok

i found a superemes record the i had been lookin for a for some time about 2 yrs i seen bam at a show and he made this raw ass beat out of it and couldnt get it out of my mind , found it at garage sale and i bout it for $.25

I copped a Vanilla fudge vg---- joint for about a buck this year but I normally keep away from beatup records.

You'Re right though,. If I'd find something I was looking for a long time I'd probably grab a fukced up copy if it was cheap. Still I'd want to find a clean one afterwards. i guess thats how the game goes

1st time I heard this record i was rollerskating and f*ckin FELL It was so Hot!

many many many years ago i bought this record and it drop'd and hit the floor i was piss'd , but i still kept it and i play'd it , it's got some use still in this condition,


i dont show this record much , this is first time i have s hown it to anyone but it gets some play here and there, as i have another one

I have bought a couple with cracks in them, and if you push it back together, it should play fine...but it will make a pop sound when it hits the crack...that's about it...

make sure you make it so the need DROPS over the crack and doesnt have to CLIMB over the cracked part... its hard to put into words, but just make sure that when the needle hits the cracked area, that before the crack the needle on the record is higher in elevation than the part of the record that the needle will ride AFTER the crack in the record... you should be able to manipulate the record on both sides of the crack back and forth and can set the record up so that as the record spins the needle keeps dropping DOWN the crack and ensuring that it never has to CLIMB over the crack in the vinyl!

you should be able to even it out and if you dont , dont play it , cuz youll fuc up ur needle. fuc that dropin shizz you should beable to play it without any pop, the crack should be tight, or dont play it cuz yoyu will fuc them up.
