question: Triton LE... does that shit work good w/ the mpc

I own a triton studio 76.

before that I owned a triton le. Let me tell ya, the triton studios arent really worth it, if its not going to be your main piece.

If you are using an mpc, id get the triton extreme, Le, or new one. I really like the triton le.

Basically the main differance with the le and the studio is the built in hard drive, cdrw............btw I never **** use it!

Plus on the studio you have more insert effects. .......the le only has one Insert effect................the standard patches are the same, basically they reprogrammed the patches of the regular tritons to work with just one insert effect on the triton le. This means in multitimberal mode you only get 1 IFX to put on a patch, the other 15 tracks have to share that effect or stay dry.

The insert effect is a big deal to some people, but with creative resampling you can get around this, and you dont always need effects for the patch to sound good.

The le is also missing the touch screen. Believe me, unless the triton is your only piece of gear and your main piece, you dont need the touch screen.............there is more to fix and mine already had problems so I had to get it fixed (luckly under manufacture warranty)

Plus you get use to no touch screen and the interface is just as fast. PLUS the overall quality of the Triton Le is better.......its more sturdy.

Lastly with the triton le you cant add expansion cards (except for the sampling one you definately need!) But you cant add expansion sound cards to add more preset sounds.

Everything else is nearly identical

There is enough on the triton le to work very well with the mpc and make some tracks as good as anything else. In the long run you have to learn it because other than the bread and butter sounds, the sounds get old; but thats with just about every synth.......unless you are making your own sounds you will get sick of the presets.

If you really utalize the sampling functions of the triton le, you have a synth that can stand on its own. I think the triton extreme or perhaps the new one(TR?) is a better deal than the le, but only because it comes with more stock sounds. I think they are all better than the studio or classic because of the above reasons.

BUt you cant go wrong with the triton le especially for the price. just keep in mind that if you want more preset sounds youll have to make them, sample them, or buy sample cds (or user programs from pro-rec .com)

THe triton le has enough sounds and tools to do just about anything you want to do. If i were to rebuy a triton it definately would be the Le, Extreme, or TR.............not the studio!

The mpc + Le + skills = all you ever should really need

I eventually plan on buying another keyboard. I am gonna go for the le or TR depending on my budget.

I would buy a triton just for the arpegiator and combi mode, those are my favorite features.

I guess thats what my above thread was about. After actually using a 1000 dollar triton vs the 2600 triton, it all comes down to how they actually worked with the mpc.

Buying a more expensive keyboard (like I did) wont do shit for you if you arent gonna fully utalize all the features.

Yeah, that's why I don't understand why people ask "does this gear do what I want" . A while back EL MAC said that gear is a vehicle and WE are the drivers or something to that effect.

Some companies are better than others.

Another good point, most newer keyboards are pretty much equal as far as features.................but most people fail to consider resale value. If you are getting a synth that you might potentially upgrade or switch, consider resale value.

I am having a hard time selling my triton studio 76 for 1800 and new its worth 3000. Because korg came out with the extreme and TR the studio isnt in demand.

some poeple need to cool it. you ask a dumb question, you get condescending answers. thats how it works. producers and beat makers are a tough group. exclusive. it has to be that way, because there are so many dudes trying to make it, hostility and competitivness is inherent in the industry. live with it.

i like the le's sounds, i wont be full on composing with it, just added to my samples

i had the triton le for a few months, used it with mpc1000 and then the mv8000 (using the mpc2500 now but sold the Le and working towards another board)... it worked fairly well, it kind of sucks having just the 1 insert effect, since i didnt have the sampling expansion in the triton i couldnt do any direct resampling unless i were to do it in the mpc, which i never did, but the board still has some decent sounds... mainly the combis. what i would like doing, is look thru combis and find something i like and pretty much base my track of that combi, import the combi w effects into the sequence mode, lay down my stuff with that and just use single programs from that point out.

if anything, id say avoid the Le and just get the Classic off ebay, this will give you sampling built in, room for a couple of the expansions, the touch screen, etc. at the price it would cost for the Le or even less.

I myself am leaning towards the roland fantom fa76 for the moment, then in a few months i'll upgrade to the X

the Tony Yayo remix is all triton sounds as well as the 2pac and Scarface remix (with the mv8000 on the drums and sequencing)

yo im having a problem with the triton studio.....i think i have to try to take it and fix it..word it dont work well with my mpc...it dosent midi into the mpc well...when i hit the pads it sequences the sound but when i move to new track and try to get another sound it dosent work .it just changes the first track sound too..nawmean..... word...
