Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

My C and D bank buttons stopped working .. . along with the track mute and shift buttons.... at first i thought it was just a problem with dirt but then i opened my mp up and it seems the buttons are really not responding... Help me out people. Good lookin out...

Make sure you check your connectors to see if they're in all the way.

yeah theres one connection that connects the top board (buttons pads, sliders knobs, screen) to the bottom board. id make sure that it is snug!

word...any idea how that connecter looks like? i think its really an internal problem...even the mini buttons dont work when i press em manually

youll have to take the screws out that hold the top circuit board in place, then lift the board up. theres only on cable connecting the top and bottom boards, and theres only one connector (its on the bottom board).


take off that top board and youll see what i mean

Make sure you are describing the Right MPC. That sounds more like an MPC2000 removal, not MPC2000XL.

It's not the same because he's using the xl.Or at least i assume that's what he's using.His profile says :Interest.......2000xl.
