I have to admit the more stuff i find the more i'm getting addicted.I have about 10 bookmarked sites i check for vinyl on the regular and i even call the guy i get my records from on a daily.He's an old school cat too so he's not only hooking me up with albums he's providing the knowledge.You gotta love that.

MAN STRYKE'S I USE TO HAVE A FRIEND LIKE THAT he was an older guy he was in his 50's he would have been in his 60's now but , he owned the record store i use to help him after school and he had mad knowledge on records and artist , he died back in the 90's mid 90's we was kool ,he paid me buy given me records koolest cat you could ever meet ,

No doubt, this cat is my man til the end.I even talked to him about hooking me up when i move.My family and i are packin' up next year and headin' to Atl. but i trust this dude so much i'm just gonna send him doe and he can send me vinyl in bulk.Dude is the coolest and smartest cat i have ever met when it comes to music.He even already put me on to his connect in Atl.We still have another 8 months til we leave so until then i'm going to talk to him as much as possible and keep getting as many classics as i can from him.

sounds like how i use to be when i was 20, i moved to SDO and i was callin my friend every ohter day and sending him money he would send mme back bulk 's of vinyl to keep me up on the bay area stuff. he just worked to hard and was never married or had kids just his dogstwo big ass pinchers, always guardin him, yeah thats kool people man,

I'll start for today.... My name is Jay and im a vinylholic. About one to five times a week I wake up with the feeling there is something missing in my life. Then I usually go online and try to calm me down by reading about artists and lables. on Lucky days I can then distract myself and make a beat. When this aint the case I go visit some recorddealers. I spend from 3-5 hrs there and end up sitting there for 10 minutes biting my fingernails and shivering because I can't afford the entire stack. On a good day i will proceed home and go nuts about my new babies.... on a bad day however........I will run to the ATM machine and hit up 2-4 OTHER stores and the cycle repeats ittself.

Seriously, december is a BAD month. I forced myself not to go to any stores.... Thought I escaped the urge. WRONG. I spent 150 bucks on 4 records this week. Fukcing ebay and private seller offers teasing me. I think I need an internet break

Yeah man....it's official................i'm hooked.Since i can't get out the house during the week i dig online and have to admit i'm finding some dope stuff.But on the weekends i'm on the streets.I anyone has the vinyl rehab number lt me know cause it's about to get ugly.

man you do excatly as i do online weekdays weekend thifts and shops and where ever i can find it .

i think the most expensive record i ever bought was an original straight outta compton still in shrink and an original johnny cash record.. just because i wanted them.

dead honest, i usually never buy a record for more than 10 bucks.

i dig thrift stores.. call me an ****, but they got a few stacks in there.. some with no sleeves on the records, i take one with a sleeve, drop one with no sleeve in there with it. i pay, on average, .50 cents a record.

every one of my old man's friends have gone from vinyl to cd. guess where all those vinyls are now? crates in my apt. most of em (minus the ones that got burnt out hardcore while those dudes were in college) are in fine enough shape to listen to (which is what i've been doing for years), and are great to sample from (which is what I'll start doing with some of them now).

i've got enough in my posession to keep me happy a little while, but i'm still looking for a few things.

excellent point cuz if u think about it noone would have thought to look at thomas dolbys "she blined me wit science" yet alchemist sampled it an came up with one of the hottest beats of the year. it aint always best to look for dem so called "hot" records cus i gaurantee u so many professional and wannabe producers have got that record and could b usin it 10x better than u
