MPC or Keyboard Workstation

a ya'll i got like 2 g's to cop some equipment. Im wonnering if i should cop an mp (im thinking of the 2500 after **** with it in samash) or a workstation like a fantom. What would give me the most bang for my buck, considering you can buy a midi keyboard for the mpc and sounds.

I love the mpc, but a workstation is a all in one package. You might want to cop a workstation for now then get a mpc second. Or you can get a mpc 1000 and a motif classic-yamaha sounds are richer and fuller. That is little under 2 g's. Email atlomusic.com for quotes on these products. I thnk they are selling mpc 2500s for $1650. Maybe you can use the rest on a lay away plan-the motif classic retails for $1000 to $800. In the meanwhile you can be rocking the mpc 2500.

They are ment to work together. The keyboard workstation for the sounds and keys. And the mpc as the sequencer (master). The mpc has a better sequencer than all of the keyboards ive worked with and it also makes it alot easier for sequencing keyboard workstations. Just keep saving. Trust me it will save alot of grief and money to do it right the first time. Also remember keyboard workstation alternatives, like racks and midi keyboards to go along with an mpc. Save money and space.

2 g's will get you 2 of these 3 things.

I don't like the all-in one because it gets boring to use the same machine for everything. (i.e. computer) nice to bounce around a lil bit. and have some hardware.

Do you need weighted keys? Do you need full size pads? The 1k is nice but the 2.5k is nicer. Keyboard wise, the Fantom 61 is nice but the s90es is nicer. 2.5k + s90es would be hard hard to beat I think, that would set u back about 3 g's. MPC 1k and s90 is where I'm headed, that's a little less than 2 g's.

I can make a better decision for you with the cash in my hand,so send me the money first and let me close my eye's and think real hard.this is how you would be looking whilst I think : :lol.

Why not buy a MPC1000 used for $600 off ebay and then spend the other $1400 on a 61 key Fantom X-a new?

Also, an MPC IS a workstation as well. You can sample anything you want and make complete songs straight from samples. However, if you like keyboard sounds better...than you know what you need.

RACKZ AINT BAD AND OFTEN THEY HAVE MORE VOICES and EXPANSION OPTIONS THAN THERE KEY'D Cousins PLUS THE COST LESS!!!!!!!!!
