ive had my mpc2kxl for about a month now and everything was good till today.....i loaded up my sampled drum kits as usual and i noticed alot of static when the samples where triggered......sometimes it goes away for a lil bit then it comes back like 5 minutes later....really heavy static....at first i thought it was the samples, but i tried em on my pc and they were good....thought it was the ram, but when i removed the 2 memory sticks and tried it,it still had that loud static behid the samples.....not my moitors cuz i tried my friends , aswell as my headphones and still the same....any help will be greatly appreciate it.

hasnt really been fixed yet...it kinda does it off and on...just dont get it. another thing i noticed is that sometimes when i turn the unit on, it says "no memory detected" or sumthing like that. then i reboot and it goes back to normal.....but i know the simms are in there tight cuz i checked em twice

That could be your problem right there.Your sticks are bad and can cause static on samples. If you bought it used you might just want to replace the simms.

Yeah, i had the same problem once with my mpc2000xl. I replaced the memory and the problem was solved.

Hope that helps.
